This is the dreaded chart. This is the chart that tells you where your child is on a national average. The top is the "Length-for-age" and the bottom is the "Weight-for-age" percentiles. When Elynn was born she was on the chart but basically fell off the chart when she was weaned at 8-10 months. It was at this time when she started battling chronic ear infections and other illnesses. When she is well she can out eat most of us. When she is sick she refuses food. We took her in last week and she is still not even on the chart for weight. Next step, we are being sent to an Audiologist to see if the ear infections have affected her hearing.
Those little circles at the bottom are Elynn's weights. Nothing has been more frustrating then trying to put weight on a child that has an allergy to dairy. I think she is allergic to grass and 10 other things too, but I haven't had this theory proven yet. Frustrating for all of us. There is not a day that goes by that people think she is 12 months instead of 22 months. She is little but tough :-)
We are doing our best Elynn! We love you and we promise to find the answers to help you grow!
