I Saw This Quote Today....

“Lord, deliver me from the urge to open my mouth when I should shut it. Give me wisdom to keep silent when silence is wise. Remind me that not everything needs to be said, and that there are very few things that need to be said by me.”(Elisabeth Elliot)
If I was every going to get a tattoo..I would tattoo this on myself :-)

The Slide with Dad

The slide has recently become a BIG hit around here....

Jaya Talking at 19 Months Old

She is starting to talk so much....She can repeat most words and often out of the blue blurts out a sentence. We are really enjoying her new vocabulary! P.S. Please ignore the chocolate cookie smeared all over her chin...

A Night at the Park

After supper this evening we headed to the park at the end of our street. Jaya played with Dad and Elynn hung out with me and then we switched for a while. It's nice to be outside. The fresh air is refreshing after a long winter...

Jaya's Mischief

Doesn't every house need someone to try on every hat in their hat drawer? We have one...our very own hat sampler. I spend most of the day right behind her picking up the creativity :-) I hope someday she gets the same opportunity with her little ones!

A little less to say...a lot more to do!

Recently I have noticed I have only written two or three sentences with each blog entry. It's not that I have any less to say, I am just a little in over my head right now! When Elynn was first born, I would take the girls out to run errands, play center, or gym and would hear comments like "now you have your hands full," or "I bet they keep you busy!" At that time my head was in the clouds. I didn't fully comprehend what they were saying. Well, I can officially say... I have my hands full! Elynn is now almost four months old and just coming out of that newborn sleep-all-day syndrome. She is becoming interactive and wants to be a part of the action. Jaya is going non-stop... If one doesn't need my time the other one does. Jaya desperately needed a bath today, I needed a bath, and Elynn just got one by de-fault. The three of us in the bathtub was quite a sight. Everyone came out clean, I don't want to even think of how much pee I was bathing in...but the soap seemed to mask all of that. We headed to the play center for busy bee day (balance beams, pools of balls ect.) They both have had lunch and are now down for naptime. Awe...naptime...a wonderful time of day.. wait wait yep Elynn's awake. And this is why I no longer have time to write long exerpts on our beautiful life :-)

Jaya's New Hair Style

We are trying different hairstyles. The first pic is of her headed to work (with Dad) and the last two are her new going-out style! It's so much fun having little girls!

Amy got a hold of my camera....here was the result :-)

I found these at Grandpa Pat's House

I found these...Thought they were neat...

Pictures of Elynn

Elynn let me take pictures of her...Jaya wouldn't...enough said...I'm not bitter :-)

Matching Dresses

A dear friend Trudy French gave the girls matching Easter dresses. I would love to write how this photo shot went wonderfully...but the truth is neither of them wanted to take ONE picture....Travis saved the day and we did capture a few...

A visit from Cousin Maizey and Aunt Amy

We had a wonderful visit from Amy and Maizey this past week. Having the girls all together in one room was so much fun! We really wish they lived closer. We really wish all of our family lived closer! But we are looking forward to them growing up together...

Elynn's First Swim Trip

Last Friday, my friend Claire and I took the girls swimming from 10am-11am at the High River indoor rec center pool. It was the first time Elynn had been swimming. It disturbed Travis that Elynn wore a bikini. (It was a hand-me-down and the only 3 month old swimsuit we have) It will be the last bikini she wears for at least 17 more years....

Do you see any resemblance?

I found an old picture of Travis and had to post this...

Elynn's Chatter

She has started talking a lot lately...Let me translate for you. "Hi Mom, I have a few things I would like to discuss with you. First, could you tell Jaya not to ping any type of ball at me at point blank range? I can't catch yet! Could you tell dad that I like it when he lets me lean on his shoulder? And my most favorite time of the day is when Jaya is sleeping and I get all of the attention :-)." Yes...this is what she is saying....

These Irish Eyes...

Granny Shelia informed me today that Travis is a lot Irish and I am a little Irish so I guess that makes these two Irishish? Their eyes are happy...they sparkle...Happy St. Patricks Day I am the luckiest girl alive to have these two:-)

Daddy's Girls

He is a very busy man...but somehow he still finds plenty of time to spend with his favorite girls!

Elynn Holding Her Head Up

She is developing so quickly...It's too fast! Awe! I feel like by the time I finish typing this entry she might be walking. Here she is holding her head up wishing she could crawl...

Jaya's First Haircut

We finally decided to cut the famous mullet. This morning I gave Jaya her first hair cut. She played with items on the counter she normally isn't allowed to and I cut about two inches off the back of her hair. The whole cut took about 45 seconds. And here is how it turned out....

Jaya's Beautiful Sweater

This sweater was made for Jaya by Travis's first grade teacher Mrs. Cannon. It is showing signs of Spring outside and therefore we did not have to wear our parkas (that day)...
