:-(
I am sad, angry, and irritated today...Elynn was up 90% of the night teething/crying and my yard looks something like this.... I worked so hard on this yard!!! It was just the one thing that was mine...That looked nice, neat, and beautiful. Now it looks like my laundry room. (A complete disaster) Tree branches are down, plants are not so much frozen as they are crushed by the wet heavy snow. All that birthday money...flushed...gone...destroyed. It's days like this I wished we could move to somewhere in the States that it never snowed. I did manage to save my hanging baskets and pots. They are taking up all the space in our hallway and being examined by an un-named 21 month old. That's it...that's all I have to say...today is starting out to be a very bad day :-(

What's Happen'in at the Hickeys!
Jaya is working on her ABC's, numbers, colors, and vocabulary. She loves cookies, ice cream, ham, chicken, hamburger, beans, bagels with cream cheese, bananas, spaghetti, fruit snacks, and cheese. She can put her own socks on, take her pj's off in her crib, and will still not wear her shoes in the car. Potty training is still in the works...
Elynn is working on growing her two bottom teeth and sitting up on her own. She is getting close to eating solid food (June 7th) and sitting in a high chair. (we have moved Jaya to a booster seat at the table). She loves being held (even by complete strangers)! She has developed her own little high pitched laugh that is music to my soul :-)
Travis is still working at Western during the week and taking care of our 70 head of cattle on Saturdays. After dinner each night, he spends his time with his two favorite girls. Oh, do they love their daddy. I truly believe he is their most favorite person in the whole world!
As for me, I am battling the last 8 pounds of baby weight. The weight is winning right now. I have been enjoying my flower garden, grilling on the BBQ, and working out at the gym in our town. I am looking forward to visiting our family in BC this summer and Colorado. I am looking forward to summer ....my very favorite time of year!

Murky Water....
Elynn Teething
And this is what a teething baby looks like...notice the rolling of the tongue and drool. We love her... She is precious....She is our Elynn Elizabeth!
High River Parade
Uncle Shane joined us for the 2010 High River Parade. He is always great to have around!
Besides my yard, I love this little town. It's full of character, fun things for little ones, and young families. I sometimes wish we would never leave. We will...My husband is becoming claustrophobic living in town. He wasn't meant to live in town....It's like trying to cage a wild bird. So I am just trying to enjoy the time that we have here....

My Yard
The flowers were a birthday present from Travis and a hanging basket from our dear friend Trudy.
I love my yard.
It's beautiful.
It's feels like home.
It is colorful and happy.
It makes me smile!
Bees buzz and birds chirp in my yard. It's a happy yard!
Jaya yells "flowers" everytime we walk out our front door.
It's snowing hard today...Dear Lord, I am cutting off my green thumb if these flowers die :-(
