There's never a bad time for a make-over. This blog needed a make-over but most of all our family needed a make-over.
So here we are....raw...I may go through a few different styles before I find the perfect fit but this will have to work for now.
We've added music. Music from here on out will be a large part of our lives. It used to be a big part of mine, but I forgot about it... I lost it...Never again...Not ever ever.....

What Makes a Family Strong?
That's the question that has been answered in my mind this week. It's not the fun and wonderful times we have together, but I truly believe it's working through the hard times. The times that just down right suck. It feels as though up until this week, it has been a complete fairy tale. Almost to good to even be true.
Well, this week has changed all of that. This week truly tested what our family is made of... There were tears, anger, sadness, and everything else that goes along with the hard times. Without divulging details we were tested to the very core.
This week has tested our faith in God. It has tested our faith in each other. God's GRACE has been incredible. His comfort has made it possible to breathe again. It's times like this I know that God is real and I wish somehow I could tell others...JUST BELIEVE! Believe He loves you and He wants you to know Him!
I have seen Him work first hand. He has answered our prayers. He is guiding us. He is teaching us what it really means to know Him. It's not about religion (religious people suck), traditions, judgement, hypocrisy, but it's about LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PACIENCE, and UNDERSTANDING.
We are stronger than ever! We love each other more than ever. There is still pain, but we are a committed front. We stand together.... God has prevailed in my family! AMEN

Motherhood
"Motherhood is still seen as a waste of a smart woman's mind, as if motherhood were beneath her talents, rather then the job that most requires every ounce of strength and ingenuity that she possesses. How each mother negotiates that is, in my opinion, a topic of endless variety." ~Amy Wilson
BIG NEWS! Elynn is crawling...Ok...not really
but this lesson was truly entertaining this morning. Lately, Travis and I have been encouraging Elynn to crawl. We place her on her tummy and occasionally move her knees or hands. Jaya had her own ideas on how Elynn should learn to crawl. So here is a video of Jaya teaching/dragging Elynn on the kitchen floor. This banter went on for ten minutes. Elynn was a great sport!

Jaya is 22 Months Old
Two things that have recently become really important to Jaya...The PARK and FRIENDS!
Today she yelled! "I want park! I want park! I want park!......Please Chloe, Chloe, Chloe!" So not only did we go to one park in Okotoks, but we also went to a park out at Kaben Farms with her friend Chloe Doyle.
Just because she said please :-)
I'm a sucker for manners....

Happy 4th of July
It's overwhelmingly uneventful in Canada on July 4th. It's understandable, considering I have never celebrated a Canada Day until I lived up here. I dressed both girls up in red, white, and blue. (but I couldn't find my camera for most of the day)
I love my country! I do like Canada/Canadians but I will never be a Canadian. I will always be proud to be an American. I will always love the USA!

The Fourth of July ~ Continental Congress’ adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Happy Birthday America!
