Van Gogh Shmango... Watch Out!

Jaya has become more and more interested in coloring, painting, and small art projects. Since Travis proclaims he practically failed art class I think it is safe to say that she received her artistic ability from me :-) Watch out Van Gogh, watch out Davinci, let me introduce Art by Jaya Joy!





P.S. Since our refrigerator can only hold so many masterpieces I am going to take pictures of them prior to donating them to the city for their enjoyment...

Our Sick Baby.....

As Travis was getting ready to leave the house today he informed me that Jaya was acting strange. He said she just laid on her blanket unlike most mornings (he gets up with her every morning) she usually is bouncing off the walls. Five minutes after he left she proceeds to vomit all over the kitchen, her pj's, and me. After the clean-up stage and new outfit she gathered her two favorite blankets and built a make-shift bed in the kitchen. This was the result...




We hate seeing her sick. I am hoping this bug is gone by tomorrow....

Matching Pj's

I see moms at the mall, grocery store, or play center with their two daughters dressed in matching outfits. The mom's hair is perfect, their make-up is always flawless, and they have clean (un-spit up on) clothes on... I see these moms and wonder how do they do it? My girls never match, my hair is rarely not disheveled, and when I attempt to put make-up on, Jaya strings the make-up drawer all over the bathroom. I am happy when my girls get clean clothes on everyday, new diapers every few hours, and my clothes have only one day of spit-up on them....

But here is proof that my daughters have matching outfits too! Granted they are pj's, they were given to the girls as a gift, and no one will ever see them in public, but that's not the point. The point is for the first time ever they match...

Elynn Elizabeth turns 2 months old!

How did we celebrate? She got her first set of shots. And therefore was not at all thrilled. She is mad right now, sore and mad. I took these pictures yesterday. I can't help but think she was thinking, "Why does my mom dress me up in these ridiculous outfits!" Travis thought she looked great, I thought she looked great, and we just wanted her to know that she did not wear hand-me-downs her entire childhood. She had a few cute NEW outfits too! Happy 2 month birthday baby girl!

Do you need to go potty?

I have failed...I have officially resorted to bribery. We are working on potty training.
Me: "Jaya do you need to go potty?
Jaya: "Potty?"
Me: "Would you like a worm?" (note: these are gummy worms and she loves them)
Jaya: "Worm? MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm"
Me: "If you go on the potty I will give you a worm!"
Jaya runs to the potty. She tries to go.....

Nothing comes out...Delema...Does she still get a worm just for trying?

Note To Self

Elynn was hungry, Jaya was tired, and to top it off I was pulled over during all of this. The police officer informed me that my vehicle was illegal due to the fact my windows were tinted. He said if I planned on staying in Canada I would have to get the tint taken off of them. I immediately phoned Travis. He said he knew tinted windows weren't allowed. I asked him if he was ever going to tell me that. He said it was just a matter of time before one of us was pulled over. Note to self: Ask Travis if I am doing anything else illegal in Canada....
