In classic Hick Chick fashion, the girls were very sick for 80% of the trip. Which left Oma and Grandpa Joe housebound while Travis and I were in Tennessee for four days. Grandpa Joe, "Yea, the baby did great as long as your mom or I were holding here all day long!" Well Grandpa Joe, welcome to my life.... They did an amazing job nursing the girls back to health. I am not sure my mom liked getting up all hours of the night but you wouldn't know it. Not the way you want to spend your precious time with your grand kids but they seemed to love it anyway. The girls made cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, read stories, popcorn and dora movies, played games, art projects, jello, Jaya worked with Grandpa Joe in the wood shop, and with 3 days left out of our two week trip they were well enough for Chuck E Cheese and a trampoline gym!
Oma reading stories while we travelled in the handicap van...classic
