Preperations for Christmas....

Every man, woman, and child has asked my kids what they wanted from Santa for Christmas.  My kids were unsure about their answer, because we rarely asked them what they want... This Christmas we really tried to get them to focus on what to get or make other people.  Naturally, Elynn thought we should get Granny toys and Jaya thought we should get Grandpa Joe a bike, but they did put some effort into it.  We talked about it constantly.  They came up with the funniest answers. 

So I decided we would start a new Hick Chick tradition.  Every Christmas the girls will make "all by themselves" a Christmas ornament for whomever we are going to spend Christmas with that year.  So Jaya and Elynn put tons of effort into their ornaments, coloring the wrapping paper, and then wrapped them with a tiny bit of assistance.  Here were the results....  After all....the gift is in the giving...

 Even Rimini hung out with the girls while they finished their gifts...

The light in their eyes when they were giving away the presents they had made was magical and beautiful...
