Bedtime/Storytime

This is part of the typical bedtime routine around our house. Dad reading Dr. Seuss, Jaya looking interested for about 30 seconds, Elynn kicking her feet, and me obsessively taking pictures so that I don't forget a second of it! Ok...so I like the Dr. Seuss stories too. I am sure Travis thought I was a real catch when I told him that Dr. Seuss was my favorite author of all time :-)

Elynn is 3 Months Old Today!

She is starting to spit-up less, talk more, smile more, and now wants to be held 90% of the day. Our Elynn is quite the little character. The last three months have been so wonderful with her in our lives...Check out her signature Hickey dimple :-)

A Spontanious Rollover

We were having family playtime in Jaya's room after supper this past Tuesday and I laid Elynn down on her stomach. All of the sudden she just rolled directly to her back unassisted. Travis said, "Did you see that? And I said, "yes!" It was a first for our sweet Elynn Elizabeth.

Let's Give Em Somethin to Talk About...

Travis was leaving for work today and Jaya waved from her high chair and said, "Bye Daddy" for the first time. He was thrilled! Proclaiming that she was now talking in sentences. I am not sure it was a complete sentence, but I can tell you it was so sweet!

Hickey Boyfriend Repellent Program

So I was in the bathtub (for a few minutes) yesterday. The girls were trapped in the bathroom with me, because I don't trust them to be alone yet. After I shaved my legs, I looked over the bathtub wall only to see my beautiful daughter Jaya chewing on the end of the very old toilet bowl cleaning brush....Yes....you read that correctly. I was in complete MOM shock/horror I couldn't move. She then proceeded to dip the brush into the toilet quickly and back into her mouth to suck off the dripping water. I screamed..."JAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She smiled at me...I am going to tell this story for years. With great hope that she won't have a date until she is thirty. (And this is our official Hickey boyfriend repellent program.)
