Our Vacation to BC

Our first vacation together as a family! We first visited Amy and Brian. It was great to hang out with them for two days. Then we visited Gannie Peggy in Kelowna for 5 days. It rained most of our trip but we still had a lot of fun.

I remember my parents working on my birthday cakes. Here are pictures of Travis and I making horse cupcakes for Jaya's first birthday party. We had a blast! I am already looking forward to next year...

Jaya's First Birthday Party!

Jaya celebrated her first birthday (a little early) with her friends Kennedi, Wyatt, Zander, and Max whom are also turning 1 this month. The whole party was a HUGE hit! We had the party on the 9th out at Pat's Ranch. It started with a baby roller coaster ride, a tunnel, and pictures. Travis grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. Jaya drew Kennedi's name in the gift draw. Wyatt drew Jaya's and she was given a musical tiger, a swim suit, sippy cup, and snack cups. Then we sang happy birthday to all the babies! Travis and I handmade horse cupcakes for everyone. They were a huge hit! Travis informed me he was a C art student, but he ended up having a blast decorating the horses with me (our little secret :-) After the cupcakes and candles Travis brought up his horse Jay. Three of the babies loved him and two weren't really sure about him. I think that was Jaya's favorite part of the whole party. It was our very own homemade petting zoo. Jaya was thrilled with the whole party! I'm pretty convinced the adults had just as much fun too!

We are awaiting the arrival of Jaya's new cousin! Travis's sister Amy and her husband Brian are expecting their first child at the end of August. The baby wrote Jaya a note via mom.....

"Dear Jaya, I cant wait for you to come and visit me. Even though I am not born yet, I have lots of toys you can play with to keep you busy while you are here. My mom saw me in an ultrasound today, she says that the picture they gave her reminds her of you when you were a new born, she cant wait to show it to you! She also found out that as of right now I weigh around 6lb 7oz, so by the time I arrive I should be around 8lbs. She was very happy to hear that I am not 8lb already!!! Only 4 more sleeps until you come, I hope you are a very good girl on the drive out, and dont scream the entire way. Say hi to your mom and dad for me and tell them I am excited to see them too!!! Love you lots!!! see you soon! xoxox"
